Hey ho readers.
I have been preoccupied with other things, so I haven't been able to update. I was in the Verizon store last night playing with the Motorola Q, and was trying to update this el jay from that, but login attempts were unsucessful. Shame, shame...
Here is what's going down.
-My girlfriend is deleting her livejournal account for another livejournal account to become the main one. Yay for that! *does a half-assed dance*
-I bought a new old phone from a coworker for the low, low price of $20. I cannot, however, salvage the numbers from my old phone. Because it is hard and time-consuming to search for all of the numbers sent before again, I will just solicit all readers of this LJ to send me their phone numbers if they wish to be in contact with me.
-Special note to all you Texas peeps: I will be coming again to the Dallas County area again for Spring Break again this year again, or at least I hope to again. So y'all give me your numbers, too! Special prizes for those who can tell me how many times 'again' appeared in the sentence two sentences ago without looking back.
-My job will be changing slightly on November 15th. I will be working at the same place, but instead of pulling cable, I will be monitoring UPSes (interruptible power supplies) for all sorts of high-tech systems across the country. It is yet to be determined if the assumed complexity and responsibility required for this job will translate into more money for me, but I am not getting my hopes up.
-Costume party tonight! I will be a Man in Black, not specifically in the context of the movie of the same name. (Read link for more info.)
-Happy birthday to my sister Amanda. On October 19th, she became a quarter of a century old!
-Sonne County Journal coming soon
-NFL Stats Calculator coming probably after, if I decide to finish it...

This weekend has come and gone. It seems that while I was off into another world of euphoria and strong emotion, many people took it to update their respective Livejournals.
What happened to me?
Unfortunately, I did not go to the dentist. I didn't post a long entry about a friend who was tragically taken from this world and then delete it. I didn't wish anyone a happy birthday with an animated gif of a Japanese man. I didn't see American Dreamz and then work for two hours where I drew any number of Mickey Mouse ears on any number of cell-phone company mascots. I did not research any movies on the Zodiac killer. And I did not survive a natural disaster.
What I did do this weekend were the following:
1. On Sunday, I worked at Walgreens. "OMFG LOLZ wait a minute tim I thought u didnt work at walgreenz ne more!!!11" Well, actually, I do, as of today. One to two days a week(end), I work for Walgreens. Right now, I need a little more money, and despite the big bump-up in pay I am receiving by working for US Airways at the Technology Distribution Center, I have a few things that I need to pay off, and the fare I get from working at Walgreens will serve to add a bit of extra spending cash to my already-thinly-lined pockets during these meager times to come.
2. Before returning to Walgreens, I spent the most incredible 45 hours with one of the most wonderful people in my life. Time which, sadly, may be a bit lessened until I can get more money saved up. I soaked up every moment of it as much as I could.
That is all. Not very exciting, but it is my life, and I love it. |
